Midostar 25mg capsule contains the active substance midostaurin. It is an anti-cancer medicine that belongs to the class of medications called tyrosine kinase inhibitors. It is combined with other chemotherapy medications to treat acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) in adults with a defect in a gene called FLT3. 

Acute myeloid leukaemia is a form of cancer that starts in certain WBCs called myeloid cells in which the body overproduces these cells abnormally. The medicine is also used in adults to treat aggressive systemic mastocytosis (ASM), systemic mastocytosis with associated haematological neoplasm (SM-AHN), or mast cell leukaemia (MCL).  

Do not take Midostar 25mg capsule if you are allergic to Midostaurin or any other ingredients of this medicine. Inform your healthcare professional if you have any symptoms of an infection, heart disorder, lung problems, or problems with breathing. If you experience any of these symptoms, such as fever, sore throat, mouth ulcers, cough with or without mucous, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or swelling in the body parts after taking the medicine, immediately report it to your doctor.

Mabtas 500mg injection contains the active constituent rituximab. It is used for several different disease conditions in adults. It is used alone or with other medications to treat non-hodgkin’s lymphoma (cancer affecting white blood cells called B-lymphocytes) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a most common form of cancer that affects B-cells). It is also indicated to treat moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis (a type of disease where the immune system attacks the body cells of its own joints)  in combination with methotrexate in adults. Mabtas Injection Uses include granulomatosis with polyangiitis or microscopic polyangiitis (inflammation of blood vessels that mainly affects the lungs and kidneys) in adults and children 2 years of age and older. It is also used to treat moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris (an autoimmune condition that causes painful blisters on the skin and lining of the mouth, throat, nose, and genitals.  

Mabtas 500mg injection belongs to the class of medications called anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. Do not take this injection if you are allergic to rituximab or any other ingredients of this medicine, have a weak immune system, or have any severe active infection. Inform your physician if you have heart disease, heart failure, or breathing problems before initiating the treatment. Talk with your doctor if you have ever had a hepatitis B infection because the infection may reactivate again in a few cases and can be severe sometimes. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are not recommended when you are taking this injection.

• Rituximab is used alone or with other medications to treat certain types of cancer (e.g., non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia). It is a type of medication called a monoclonal antibody. It works by attaching to certain blood cells from your immune system (B cells) and killing them. It is also used with other monoclonal antibodies and radioactive drugs to treat certain cancers.
• Rituximab is also used with methotrexate to treat moderate-to-severe forms of rheumatoid arthritis. It is usually used for arthritis only after other medications have not worked. It can decrease joint pain and swelling. It is also used to treat certain types of blood vessel disease (such as Wegener's granulomatosis, microscopic polyangiitis).

• The antibody binds to CD20. CD20 is widely expressed on B cells, from early pre-B cells to later in differentiation, but it is absent on terminally differentiated plasma cells. CD20 does not shed, modulate or internalize. Although the function of CD20 is unknown, it may play a role in Ca2+ influx across plasma membranes, maintaining intracellular Ca2+ concentration and allowing activation of B cells.

• Rituximab is administered by intravenous infusion. Patients should receive acetaminophen (Tylenol) and an antihistamine prior to the infusion to reduce the severity of infusion reactions
• Non-Hodgkin's B-cell lymphomas: 375 mg/m2 weekly for 4 to 8 weeks or longer.
• Chronic lymphocytic leukemia: 375 mg/m2 for the first cycle then 500 mg/m2 every 28 days for cycles 2 to 6
• Wegener's granulomatosis or microscopic polyangiitis: 375 mg/m2
• Rheumatoid arthritis: Two 1000 mg infusions are administered two weeks apart and they are repeated every 16 to 24 weeks

• A headache, fever, chills, nausea, heartburn, flushing, weakness, or dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly
• Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including back/joint/muscle pain, increased thirst/urination, swelling of the hands/feet, tingling of the hands/feet

• Before using rituximab, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it, or to other mouse protein medications; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details
• Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: blood disorders (e.g., thrombocytopenia), heart problems (e.g., irregular heartbeat, angina), current or returning infections, lung problems (e.g., pulmonary infiltrates), previous severe reaction to monoclonal antibody treatment, virus infection (e.g., chickenpox, hepatitis B or C, herpes, JC virus)

• Rituximab should be stored at 2 Degree C - 8 Degree C (36 Degree F - 36 Degree F) and protected from sunlight
